After months of preparation, raising over $20,000 in donations, hours of wrapping and coordinating, the day finally came when we were able to provide Christmas gifts to 4000 children in the remote jungle of Guatemala. We had a group of volunteers who helped raise some of the funds and traveled to Guatemala to spend Christmas vacation serving those who have nothing. The Cahabon municipality helped coordinate the Christmas gifting event and many municipality employees gave their time during their Christmas holiday to help. The logistics of 4000 children and gifts is almost overwhelming. The children were so excited to have their own gift. And our volunteers loved giving the gifts. What an incredible experience. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible through your donations! We still have more gifts to give and will be visiting villages throughout the week.
