Members of EnLevo visited the sweetest village last week. La Caoba, the most remote village we have been too. 2.5 hours on an extremely bumpy and windy road, crossing the river on a sketchy food bridge and then a 30 minute walk up the mountain. It was a trek, but well worth it.

207 chiefs. Today was a historic day as chiefs from all 207 villages met at the Cahabon municipality. Some chiefs traveled 2-3 hours on dirt roads to attend.


The mayor of the municipality asked us to join him in the stage. Doug and I were introduced and invited to talk briefly about the work we are doing and the “Sustainable Lives” program we are beginning to implement.
